the scrambler published my short story 'baby is going to die tonight.' Much thanks and gratitude to the editor Jeremy Spencer. Also in this issue, Ethel Rohan and Carrie Lorig.I have recently sent out a new edit of my first manuscript you private person: stories. The word count is a little over 30,000.
I am currently working on a story titled LESLIE CHEUNG JUMPS OFF MY BUILDING CLOSES HIS EYES AND THEN SINGS A SONG WE BOTH KNOW AND LOVE.
The other day I sent Frances a text message that read Your mouth, of course, is a pictureless room in which an afternoon's gods get lost.
I am replaying ENTER THE VOID (2010) in my head when I am doing chores around the house and when I feed my cat. I pick up and put down the phone and remember things I have to do and live out, in between re-imagining scenes of transitioning bird eyed views of building tops. I do this for movies I like and don't like. I am going to write a double review for ENTER THE VOID and MDMA (20 JAN 2011) by Megan Boyle and Tao Lin, re the two viewing experiences and how they were similar.
